Design and inspiration

As mentioned, Google's Material 3 design language was my main inspiration for the overall design of the website. This promotes, among other things, frequent use of rounded corners. Other aspects, such as the generally darkened color palette of the website, are inspired by my own constant use of dark mode wherever available. The accent color is inspired by my most used emoji on Discord: a picture of Astolfo from the Fate anime series sleeping.

I imported Google's Noto Sans font, because I think it is quite a clean and minimalistic font. A quick note about the grid on the main site: Instead of letting the columns adjust from 4 to 1, I decided to only make the columns either 4, 2 or 1 depending on the width. This is because 3 columns would result in an uneven grid. I set a minimum website width of 720px, considering this is most likely the smallest width this website will encounter for normal use.
